Your kids need to see in the dark in camp, too. Plus, having his or her own headlamp is pretty cool. My eight-year-old daughter loves his headlamp because it’s pink (it also comes in blue, purple, and green). I like it because it’s simple to use, bright enough (with two Ultrabright LEDs) for walking around safely in the dark, and adjustable to fit a kid for years. It has a dim setting for the tent and a blinking setting, is sturdily built, and the price is right.
