Trail Food Review: Probars

Probar flavors

Trail Food
$3, 3 oz.

I’ve grown tired of some of the energy bars on the market. But having sampled the new Probar flavors—double chocolate, peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate chip, and superfruit slam—on several days of backcountry skiing, I have to say they taste really good. And their 350 to 390 calories per bar and organic ingredients deliver a noticeable energy boost. I’ll carry them on high-exertion days like ultra-dayhikes, when I need a lot of calories and a variety of palatable foods.
