When we set up camp a few hundred feet beyond this small tarn along the Highline Trail in Wyoming’s Wind River Range, and I saw the backdrop of mountains, I planned ahead to capture this scene as we hit the trail the next morning. My hopes for good light and calm air to transform the tarn into a perfect mirror were realized.
