Upper Yosemite Falls in Yosemite National Park freefalls for 1,430 feet off the rim of Yosemite Valley, crashing with so much force onto the rocks at its base that it creates a mist heavy enough to rain onto the trail below the waterfall. Combined with the middle cascades and Lower Yosemite Falls, the entire Yosemite Falls drops 2,425 feet, making it the tallest waterfall in North America. This photo of the base of the waterfall was taken from the Upper Yosemite Falls Trail. There are also another horizontal photo and a vertical photo of Upper Yosemite Falls available.
