On a solo, six-day hike through the Wind River Range that included a substantial piece of the Continental Divide Trail, I camped a night by Skull Lake, which is along the Hailey Pass/Pyramid Lake Trail. Early the next morning, I woke up to a perfectly clear and windless day with the lake’s surface like a flawless mirror, reflecting the forest and distant peaks, including distinctive Pyramid Peak and left of Pyramid (in the photo), Mount Hooker. There is also a vertical version of this photo available.
