Sunrises and sunsets both can be quite pretty at the Cramer Lakes in Idaho’s Sawtooths. I rose early one morning at a campsite beside upper Cramer Lake, before the sun had even crested the mountains, to find the lake completely calm and flat and the low-contrast light painting the landscape evenly in a soft glow.
